THE THINGS YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT ELECTRIC VEHICLES

Introduction

We believe that electric cars have become very popular in the last few years because of the speed and convenience they offer and better performance than fuel cars.

These cars are completely dependent on electricity. It does not contain petrol and diesel, and this car is used for The cost of electricity for charging is less compared to the cost of fuel cars, so the trend of people to buy electric cars is increasing.  And hence, electric cars will replace fuel-powered cars in the next few years.

BENEFITS OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES

  • The running cost of an electric vehicle is much cheaper than an equivalent petrol or diesel vehicle. Electric vehicles ( EV) use electricity to charge their batteries instead of using fossil fuels like petrol or diesel.
  • Electric vehicles have very low-cost maintenance because they don’t have as many moving parts as an internal combustion vehicle.
  • Second-hand electric vehicles could be a great affordable option if you're looking to make the switch from petrol or Diesel vehicle
  • Pure EVs have no tailpipe, so they don’t emit any exhaust gases, which reduces local air pollution particularly area in which a large number of people live close together.
  • Registration fees and road tax on purchasing electric cars are lesser than petrol or diesel cars. There are multiple policies and incentives offered by the Central government.
  • Electric vehicles / cars have the silent functioning capability as there is no engine under the hood. No engine means no noise.
  • Electric vehicles have highly responsive acceleration and regenerative braking when reliving off the accelerator. This vehicle has a low center of gravity, which better handling, comfort and safety.

LIMITATION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES

  • Electric vehicles are very  popular in market but The charging system of an electric car is not available everywhere like petrol and Diesel. When you drive an electric car, you are worried that your car might get a low charging indication.
  • battery of electric car is very expensive it is between 7 to 8 lakhs and the cost of the car is also very high.
  • You may think that you are using an electric vehicle so that you are saving the environment but it is not like that, an electric vehicle is using electricity when you are charging it.  And do you know what metals are used to make the battery of an electric vehicle? Leucum, Nickel, Cobalt and Garfield, that live on the Earth’s surface, all cause a lot of pollution.
  • To the best of my knowledge, there is no insurance company in India that covers 100% electric vehicle batteries except a few companies.when you have 8 lakh battery cost, when you make an insurance claim on it, you only get 4 lakhs in insurance, the above 4 lakhs you have to pay from your pocket.

HOW TO ENCOURAGE ELECTRIC VEHICLES

The company should provide maximum charging ports in cities and make them available for 24 hours for public. We need to aware people about electric cars through social media and make them understand why it is necessary. Attention should be paid to how the use of electric cars will increase in Kolhapur and other places. Electric cars take a lot of time for charging, that time should be reduced.  The company should do something for this situation. An electric car should be provided with an extra battery or a backup battery so that you don't have any trouble during the journey

CONCLUSION

Electric cars are good to use and the government wants more people to buy electric vehicles and for that they have made different schemes available to people.

We know that generating electricity causes a lot of pollution.  You should use electric car in limit.  And I am sure the government will plan some measures to prevent pollution.
